Yearly Dinner Held in Ain Zibdeh

The Founder's Day yearly dinner was postponed many times this year for various reasons, but we were finally able to hold it on Friday 2nd of May 2008 at 1.30 pm. An ad hoc committee was formed to plan for this event comprising of one member from every department in our school. Their choice fell on Al-Nabaa Restaurant in Ain Zibdeh.
Present was the President of the Municipal council of Khirbet Kanafar, Mr. Milhem Al-Zarzour, and his wife. Mr. Elias Haddad, the lawyer of our school was also present with his wife, in addition to teachers and members of staff from all the JLSS departments with their spouses. The General Director, Rev. George D. Haddad, gave a short address on the occasion, and all enjoyed the nice gathering and the good food. Dinner was served outdoors, and the occasional chilly breeze caught some unprepared. It is traditional for all Schneller dinners to end with DABKEH (Lebanese folk dancing), and it was a big disappointment to all when the sound system of the restaurant was continuously failing preventing the group from really enjoying the occasion.
