Education for Peace since 1860
Graduated from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, American University of Beirut. Taught psychology for 3 years at AUB to freshman and sophomore students in addition to special psychology courses in the Faculty of Engineering and to pre-medical students.
After raising my children: Mona, Salim and Lina, and after they were old enough to attend regular school hours. I took up voluntary work, mainly in the field of leadership training, which was a most enjoyable experience.
I took many responsibilities in community work, church activities and worked on alumni boards both at high school and university levels. During the difficult war years, I was a member of the permanent Congress for the Support of AUB.
I have also assumed the following responsibilities:
* President of Beirut YWCA for 4 years.
* President of National YWCA of Lebanon for 2 terms.
* Treasurer of the church women’s group for 12 years.
* Liaison person with the EMS women’s desk.
* Chairperson of the World Day of Prayer (WDP) since 1987.
* Member of the church re-building committee of NEC of Beirut.
* Elder at the NEC for several terms.
* Member of the Schneller Committee.
I addition, I have worked on a number of other church committees. I have also represented the YWCA on several national and international conferences and the Lebanon WDP on world conferences
