Fact Finding Delegation in JLSS

A fact-finding delegation comprising of Ms. Jutta Boysen and Rev. Heinz Bächer came to our school from the 7th to the 17th of October 2008. They were busy for ten days assessing the overall operations of the school, holding workshops, and visiting parents of some of our children. They held two workshops about Conflict Resolution through Peaceful Means for our educators (night duty staff) and teachers of the academic school. They conducted a questionnaire on students of Grades 7 to 9 and the older students of the Vocational School. The questionnaire was kindly translated from German to Arabic by Dr. Najem Haddad and his wife Mrs. Rima Haddad. We express our thanks to both of them for doing this translation free of charge, at short notice, and in good time to allow Jutta and Heinz to conduct it before their visit ended. This delegation was commissioned by EMS with the emphasis of evaluating peace education and conflict resolution as practiced and taught in our school.
